Tutors hold one-on-one, in-person and virtual, drop-in sessions for students currently enrolled at Ventura College. Tutors provide guidance and assist students with assignments, problem-solving, and test preparation.

 

Embedded Tutor Job Description

Embedded tutors serve as an additional resource for students inside and outside of the classroom; enhancing student engagement and modeling exceptional study habits. They are experts in their content area, making them able to assist students and reinforce class material. To further enhance student support, embedded tutors hold one-hour group tutoring sessions.

Tutor Pay Rate

$16.80-$18 per hour

 

Requirements

  • "A" or "B" grade in the class you wish to tutor
  • 3.0 G.P.A
  • Instructor recommendation
  • Good academic standing
